Blue Jays shutout by Red Sox at Fenway Park

Wow! What a game you saw last night if you had Boston baseball tickets, when Clay Buchholz threw a no hitter for the WIN_TEAM!! Congratulations to Buchholz as well as the Red Sox for an incredible accomplishment. You never know what you will see at a baseball game and if you were at Fenway Park yesterday you’ll have a story to tell for the rest of your life! It was quite a game that followers with BoSox baseball tickets will be talking about for days.

Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz (2.26 ERA) got the win, while Shaun Marcum (3.70 ERA) took the loss for the Blue Jays. Clay Buchholz went 6 innings for the Red Sox, allowed 5 hits, no home runs and no earned runs with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Red Sox was Daniel Bard (1.87). The Blue Jays’s starter Shaun Marcum went 7 innings, allowed 4 hits, one home run and 3 earned runs with no walks and 6 strikeouts. Jason Frasor (4.13) also pitched for the Blue Jays. With the win, Buchholz’s record goes to 15-5, while Marcum falls to 11-7. Felix Doubront earned the save for the Red Sox, bringing his saves up to 2.

In addition to the 5 runs, the Red Sox managed 7 hits and committed no errors. It wasn’t a huge day for anyone at the plate for the Red Sox, as nobody managed more than 2 hits. The Blue Jays didn’t have anyone with a big night with not one batter getting more than 2 hits. Adam Lind could not get much going at the plate as he left 6 runners on base. The Blue Jays managed no runs, 6 hits and no errors.

Umpiring duties were performed by Eric Cooper, Chad Fairchild, Todd Tichenor and Bill Miller. There were 37,506 Red Sox ticket holders in attendance at Fenway Park.
